Every Sunday at 4:00pm, Tabula Rasa hosts a single-elimination chess tournament where focus, nerve, and time pressure decide everything.
Entry is $25 per player. includes one free drink.

The Format
Each match starts with a 15-minute timed game.
If it ends in a draw, the clock tightens:
15 minutes → 10 minutes → 5 minutes → 3 minutes
No stalemates. No escapes. The game keeps shrinking until someone breaks.
Win the tournament and you don’t just win a match you enter history.
The champion receives:
A custom Tabula Rasa chess trophy
A Polaroid photo taken on the spot
Your place in the Tabula Rasa Book of Champions permanent, physical, undeniable
And then… the moment.
The champion gets one full-café Nerf basketball shot.
